Aztecs Tournament, 6th September 2009
The 2009-10 season got underway with a bang at the Aztecs Basketball Tournament. 7 mens teams and 5 ladies teams battled it out on Sunday 6th September and the standard of play on display was very impressive. See pictures of winners below.
Our thanks go to our referees for keeping good order on the courts, and to tournament organisers Rich Savage and Lisa Austin, who worked like trojans to make this all come together on the day.
| In the Ladies league, UWIC Archers comfortably eased past the new-look Aztec Storm, but when the teams met again in the Women's Final, it was a much closer-run affair, with the visiting Welsh ladies taking the trophy by the narrow margin of 3 points. |

An impressive looking Westside team warmed up for their new league season by beating Kingston Wildcats in the men's final. The Aztec Jaguars lost to Westside in the semi final. |
